One of the coolest(hidden) features of Samsung Galaxy devices is that they contain some hidden but useful features.  One of these useful features is the ability to send scheduled messages.  This is particularly useful especially when you need to send someone a specific message at a certain time and what’s more awesome is that it does not require you to install 3rd-party apps.  All you need to do is the following steps:

Note:

1. This method works on most Samsung Devices.

2. This method requires Root Access.

STEPS:

1. Install one of the root explorer apps to your Samsung Device (ES File Explorer, Root Explorer).

2. Navigate to System/CSC

3. Make a copy of Others.xml file so that you revert back to the original file in case something goes wrong.

4. Open the (Others.xml) file with text editor.

5. Make sure to mount the file as (Read-Write).

5. The file should look like this

6. Add the below lines in between

7. Save file and reboot your device, Now you should have Scheduled Messages enabled inside “Messages” app.

Quick Note:

– If the feature is still not added after following the above 7 steps then do the following:

– Create a text file by the name of “Features.xml”.

– Paste the content of “Others.xml” inside it and the feature should be added.

8. Now open “Messages” app.

9. Compose a new message and write down the subject and receiver’s phone number.

10. Tap on 3-dot button and choose “Schedule Message” option.

11. Set time & date, and remember that the scheduled time must be at least 6 minutes after the current time.

12. Your message should look like this and will be sent at the specified time.
